Rahul Chaudhari born 16 June 1993, He is an Indian Kabaddi player, who has played as a defender and later became a magnificent raider. In the Pro Kabaddi League, he became the first player to ever score 500, 700, and 800 raid points. He was a member of the Indian National Kabaddi team that won a gold medal in the 2016 South Asian Games. Rahul currently plays for the Jaipur Pink Panthers after spending six seasons with the Telugu Titans and one with the Tamil Thalaivas & Puneri Paltans.
Early Career
Chaudhari has an elder brother, Rohit inspired him to take up Kabaddi. Rahul and Rohit began their Kabaddi training when Rahul was thirteen years old. The brothers continued to play Kabaddi despite their parents’ disapproval. He recollects how his parents would chastise his siblings for playing kabaddi instead of paying attention to their studies.
In his early career, he was a defender. The young man was chosen to receive training at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Gandhinagar, where he honed his abilities and became an experienced raider. As he started performing well in the national tournaments, He was approached to join the Indian Army, but he declined the offer as he felt he was not ready and needed more practice.
Pro Kabaddi
Before the inaugural Pro Kabaddi season, Rahul was noticed by J Udayakumar, the Telugu Titans’ coach at the time. The Hyderabad-based team subsequently purchased Rahul at the PKL 1 auctions. He did not disappoint his team and went on to score 161 points (which included seven Super 10s) in the season, the second-highest by any player. Telugu Titans signed a contract worth 1 Crore with Chaudhari over ten seasons of Pro Kabaddi. Due to the league’s annual auctions, the contract was declared void.
In addition to being the highest scoring player in PKL Season 4, he was named Best Raider of the Season. Rahul had scored 150 points in the season, and had seven Super 10s to his name, and also was the first player to reach the 400-raid point mark. The following season, he was named the team’s captain.
After Pardeep Narwal, he is the second player in the PKL to score a thousand points. While representing the Tamil Thalaivas in the PKL 2019, he accomplished the feat. In his seven seasons of the league, Chaudhari has scored 1014 points (955 raid points) and stands second in the list of most Super 10s with 40 to his name.
Telugu Titans
Chaudhari scored 151 raid points in Season 1. In the second season, he scored 98 raid points and 9 tackle points, and the third season saw him score 87 raid points and with 12 tackle points with a 41.37% tackle success rate.
Chaudhari scored 14 raid points during the game as the Telugu Titans reached to the semi-finals, where they were defeated. He was made captain of the Telugu Titans in Season 5, and finished the campaign with 193 points – 184 raid points and 9 tackle points.
For Season 6, Chaudhari was again bought by Telugu Titans for Rs 1,29,00,000, ending the season with 159 raid points and 7 tackle points.
Tamil Thalaivas
For Season 7, the Tamil Thalaivas placed a bid of Rs 94,00,000 to purchase Chaudhari.
Puneri Paltan
The Puneri Paltan bought Chaudhari for Season 8, bidding Rs 40,00,000 for him in the auction.
Jaipur Pink Panthers

Indian Kabaddi Team
Rahul was able to join the Indian men’s Kabaddi team following his valiant performances in Pro Kabaddi. He was a member of the Indian team that won gold at the 2016 South Asian Games and led the country to victory at the 2014 Asian Games.
When Rahul was selected to play in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup in Ahmedabad, he was a rising star in the Indian Kabaddi team. He seized the chance to demonstrate his abilities and earn a spot on the team for the long run. Subsequently, he was a member of the 2017 Asian Kabaddi Championships team, the 2018 Kabaddi Masters team, and the bronze medal winning Asian Games team in 2018.
Uttar Pradesh Team
