Singer Shreya Ghoshal was born on March 12, 1984, in a Bengali middle calls family. Known for her extensive vocal range and flexibility, she is among the most active and well-liked vocalists in India. Her credits include 5 National Film Awards, 4 Kerala State Film Awards, 2 Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, 2 BFJA Awards, 7 Filmfare Awards & 10 Filmfare Awards South. She has also recorded song’s for albums and films in a variety of Indian and foreign languages. Ghoshal is recognised as one of the best vocalists of the Indian subcontinent and is frequently riferred to as the “Queen of Dynamics” for her extraordinary vocall expressions.
Ghoshal started learning music when she was just 4 years old. She began receiving formal instruction in classical music at the age of six. The mother of filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali became aware of her when she turned 16, following her victory on the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma. After the win, she debuted as a Bollywood playback singerr in Bhansali’s romantic drama Devdas (2002), for which she won 3 Award’s: the Filmfare RD Burman Award for New Music Talent, the National Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer & the Filmfare Award for Best Female Playback Singer.
In addition to playback singing, Ghoshal has judged multiple reality TV series and appeared in music videos. Governoor Ted Strickland of Ohio, in the United States, proclaimed June 26, 2010, as “Shreya Ghoshal Day” in honour of her. The choosen members of the United Kingdom‘s House of Commons honoured her in London in April 2013. The Forbes list of the top 100 Indian celebrities has included her five times.

After ten years of dating, Shreya got married to her school friend and boyfriend current Global Head of Truecaller (for Business) Shilaaditya Mukhopadhyaya in a traditional Bengali ceremony on 5 February 2015 in an intimate ceremony held. They did a traditional Bengali wedding in Mumbai where close family, friends were invited.

Career
Covering a Marathi song originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar, “Ganraj Rangi Nachato” marked Ghoshal’s debut recording. Her first studio album was Bendhechhi Beena, which was released on 1 January 1998, with 14 tracks. Some of her earlier albums are O Tota Pakhi Re, Ekti Katha (1999), and Mukhor Porag (2000). The Bengali studio album Rupasi Raate was recorded by Ghoshal in 2002. Ghoshal recorded devotional songs for albums such as Krishna Bina Ache Ke (2007) and Banomali Re (2002).
