HOn his channel CarryMinati, e is well-known for his humorous skits, roasting videos, and responses to a range of internet subjects. His other channel CarryisLive is dedicated to gaming and live streams. As of August 2023, he has collected over 40 million subscribers, making him the most popular individual YouTuber in Asia.
In May 2020, his roast video titled “YouTube vs TikTok: The End” caused controversy on YouTube. YouTube removed the video, citing reasons like harassment and cyberbullying, for violating the platform’s terms of service.

Early life and education
On June 12, 1999, Ajey Nagar was born in the city of Faridabad, which is close to New Delhi, the capital of India. He went to Delhi Public School in Faridabad until 2016, at which point he left to focus on his YouTube career; skipping his Class-XII Board examination because of his nervousness about passing the economics exam. He later completed his schooling through long-distance learning.
Yash Nagar, the older brother of Nagar, is a composer and music producer who has worked with him as Wily Frenzy.
Career
Based in Faridabad, a city close to New Delhi, the capital of India, is Ajey Nagar. Popularly referred to as CarryMinati, Nagar is mainly involved in creating Hindi-language roasting and comedy videos, diss songs, satirical parodies, apart from live gaming. Nagar works from his home in Faridabad with his team to produce videos.
When Nagar was ten years old, he started his first YouTube channel, TeaLThFeArzZ, with football tutorial videos. Since 2014, his primary YouTube channel has been operational.When the channel was called AddictedA1 in 2014, Nagar would post clips of himself playing video games and commenting on them.He renamed the channel CarryDeol in 2015 and began posting gameplay videos of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive while dressing like Sunny Deol. The channel was subsequently renamed to CarryMinati. In May 2021, he broke the record of 30 million subscribers on YouTube, and in August 2023, he became the first Indian YouTuber to reach 40 million subscribers. Beyond India, he also currently has the highest number of subscribers in the Asia region.
Nagar started a second YouTube channel, CarryIsLive, at the beginning of 2017 where he streams live footage of himself playing video games. He has hosted live streams on this channel, raising funds for victims of Kerala floods in 2018. In 2019, there were bushfires in Australia, COVID-19, cyclone Fani in Odisha, floods in Assam and Bihar, and the Shaheed attack in Pulwama. In 2020, there was flooding in Assam and Bihar. On 4 June, Nagar hosted a four-hour charity live stream for the victims of the 2023 Odisha train collision. With ₹1.5 lakh in individual donations, the live stream raised INR 11,87,611.64, which was given to the Government of Odisha‘s Chief Minister‘s Relief Fund.
In January, 2023 Nagar created another YouTube channel CarryMinati Productions Official, where he uploads vlogs and behind the scenes videos.

Nagar attacked PewDiePie in a diss track titled “Bye PewDiePie” that was released in January 2019 and has received 22 million views in just five months.He also released the song “Trigger” that year, a collaboration with his older brother Wily Frenzy. “Zindagi“, “Warrior” and the Diss Track “Yalgaar” in 2020 and “Vardaan” in 2021 came after this.

In year 2020, Nagar collaborated with music composer duo Salim–Sulaiman for the music video Date kar Le.
The Wily Frenzy-composed Nagar rap single “Yalgaar” was used as the theme song for the 2021 motion picture The Big Bull.
He made a brief cameo in the 2022 film Runway 34 as himself.
In February 2023, Nagar bought a 10% stake in esports firm Big Bang Esports with business partner Deepak Char.
Controversies
Nagar responded to a video posted on Instagram by TikTok user Amir Siddiqui, who chastised YouTube creators for mocking TikTok users, with a contentious YouTube video titled “YouTube Vs. TikTok–The End” in May 2020. After receiving numerous reports of harassment and cyberbullying, YouTube removed it, citing violations of its terms of service. A large number reports had been made by LGBTQ+ activists, on account of homophobic or transphobic abusive language in the video.
Numerous Nagar supporters expressed disapproval of YouTube’s actions, and his name was mentioned in a number of newly popular hashtags following the removal. Consequently, the video garnered multiple million views, and a determined attempt was made to evaluate bomb TikTok on the Google Play Store. Other Nagar supporters defended YouTube’s choice to take down the video. In June 2020, Nagar uploaded the music video “Yalgaar” as a further response, with renewed criticism of Siddiqui.

- When CarryMinati, aka Ajey Nagar, was just 8 years old in 2008–09, YouTube started to take notice.
- He was inspired to start his channel by watching football tutorials on YouTube in the past.
- He launched the “Stealth Fearzz” channel in 2010 and has since posted videos there with tutorials and football tricks.
- Ajey Nagar had a lot of videos up on his YouTube channel, but the reaction from his audience was not positive.
